CHAP. 57.--An ACT to amend and re-enact section 6 of chapter 100, Code 1873, as amended by an act approved February 20, 1878, as amended and re-enacted by an act approved March 31, 1879, in relation to unlawful fishing.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section six of chapter one hundred, Code of eighteen hundred and seventy-three, as amended by the act approved March twentieth, eighteen hundred and seventy-eight, as amended and re-enacted by the act approved March thirty-first, eighteen hundred and seventy-nine, be amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:

CHAP. 424.--An ACT to exempt from taxation, State and local, public wharves, docks and terminals of any city, where such public wharves, docks and terminals are located in any county, city or town.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the public wharves, docks and terminals of any city located in any county, city or town shall be held by said city exempt from state and local taxation.

This act shall apply to the taxes for the year 1916 and subsequent years.

2. As this act affects the public revenues, an emergency is declared to exist, and this act shall go into effect from its passage.

CHAP. 362.--An ACT to provide a new charter for the town of Parksley, in the county of Accomac, and to repeal an act entitled an act to incorporate and provide a charter for the town of Parksley, Virginia, Approved March 12, 1904.

Approved March 20, 1916.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the territory in Accomac county contained within the following boundaries: commencing at the intersection of Willis street, if produced or extended westwardly, with the line between the land of the Parksley Land and Improvement Company

CHAP. 323. -- An ACT to provide a special fence law for Northampton county.

Approved February 22, 1800

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That every post and plank fence or wire fence, four
feet high, through which stock cannot pass, shall be a lawful fence for Northampton county: provided, the supervisors shall approve the same.

2. This act. shall be in force from its passage.

CHAP. 121.--An ACT to establish a closed season for menhaden fishing, to prescribe the size of the mesh to be used in said fishing, and to provide a penalty for the violation of this act.

Approved March 17, 1914.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to take or catch in the waters of the Commonwealth of Virginia, or waters within the jurisdiction of the Commonwealth of Virginia, men-haden fish to be manufactured into oil, fish scrap or manure, between the first day of December and the last Monday in May of each year.

CHAP. 70.--An ACT to authorize Northampton county to borrow money and issue bonds for a sum not exceeding twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) for the purpose of building, improving and maintaining the public roads and bridges of Franktown magisterial dis...

Approved September 9, 1919.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the board of supervisors of Northampton county be, and it is hereby, authorized to borrow, from time to time as may be necessary, money not exceeding twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) for the magisterial district of Franktown, in said county, the said sum to be used for the purposes of building, improving and maintaining the public roads and bridges in said Franktown magisterial district.
