Levi R. Boggs, J.P., paid into court $3 fine and $1 clerk's fee, received of Henry Phillips, convicted before him of assault and battery on Tinnie Finney.

The following fiduciary accounts were confirmed and ordered to be recorded: Audits of estates of Thomas F. Milliner and Geo. W. Powell; orphan accounts of Oscar and Leila M. Powell, Ann L., Lorenzo D., Hester J. and Sarah Hinman.

The last wills of Elijah Kelly, George Laws, Archibald Annis, Elizabeth Godwin and Elitha A. Byrd were proved and ordered recorded.

Commonwealth vs John H. Fisher, felony; verdict, malicious cutting. Motion for new trial overruled, sentenced 2 years in penitentiary.

Com. vs. Judson C. Hickman, murder; verdict, involuntary manslaughter, sentenced one year in jail and fine of $75.

Com. vs Caleb Broughton, burglary; verdict, guilty, sentenced 5 years in penitentiary.

The estate of Mary Shields, deceased, was committed to John H. Wise, sheriff, for administration.

The clerk reported to the court, as the law requires, a list of the fines reported to him by Justices of the Peace, during the month of December 1898.
