Moral -- Murder

The fourth day of the Pitts Walter murder trial in the County Court yesterday attracted a larger crowd of spectators than on any day yet. On opening court the examination of witnesses for the defense was resumed.

Reports from every part of our county show, that a large number of hogs are dying with cholera, and in view of that fact attention is especially called to the advertisement of Mr. Wm. Walsh, Seaside P.O. He claims to have found the remedy which as yet has never failed to cure, and no one should fail to give it a trial upon the reasonable terms which it is offered.

Transportation -- Railroad - Corporate

The Sussex (Del.) Journal says it has been pretty generally confirmed that the Peninsula Railroad Company has acquired the control of the Delaware, Maryland and Virginia Railroad, extending from Harrington, Del., to Franklin City, Va., with a branch from Georgetown to Lewes and Rehoboth.
