Deed of Sale of Land in Onancock from Arthur and Mary Watson to Thomas S. Richardson, 1861

This deed, dated 15 December 1865, describes Arthur and Mary Watson's sale of 3 acres and the accompanying buildings in the village of Onancock and seven acres of woodland outside the village to Thomas S. Richardson in exchange for $2500.

Sale of Walter Lands to Upshur B. Quinby

This deed describes the Accomack County property U.B. Quinby purchased from Nathaniel and George Walter on August 20, 1883, for $1,950. The Walter farm consisted of 225 acres. The Walters retained the family graveyard. Included are U.B. Quinby's notes on the sale.

Letter from N.J.W. LeCato to U.B. Quinby, 15 January 1883

Nathaniel J.W. LeCato wrote from New York to inform Upshur Quinby that H.B. Voss' widow found her husband's bond against LeCato. LeCato asks Quinby to send money so that the bond against the Benson property might be settled.
