Among the visitors at the National Capitol the past week were Capt. John Hopkins, of Onancock, Accomac county, and his bride. The captain is seventy-eight years of age and the bride seventeen. They were married several days ago and are spending their honeymoon away from home.

The dwelling-house of Mr. Obed Hamby, in the upper part of Northampton, was accidently destroyed by fire several days ago, together with nearly all the furniture and other household property. Insurance unknown.
