The first half of the month was unusually cool, and the last third unusually hot.
The range of temperature was from 50 degrees on the 8th to 90 on the 23rd. Mean for month 70.36. The average for the month according to Mr. Carlton Moore, was 74.5 during 33 years.
The rainfall amounted to 5.73 inches for the month. There were 15 days with rain, 13 clear, 7 partly cloudy and 10 cloudy. Thunder storms occurred on the 11th, 21st, 24th and 28th. The average rainfall according to Mr. Moore's record was 2.57.
