He Bags a Good String of Ducks on Broadwater Island.
EXMORE, VA., Nov. 25. -- President-elect Cleveland killed a good string of ducks by shooting from blinds today. He proved himself to be an excellent shot. A heavy northwest wind prevailed in the morning, but at noon the sun shone brightly and the wind moderated.
Mr. Cleveland is quartered at the cottage of Mr. Joseph L. Ferrell, president of the Broadwater Club. The cottage is well built and is heated by steam. He gives free audience to persons who live near by, but refuses to see any one from a distance.
Some small game and snipe were bagged by Mr. Cleveland yesterday in the sheltered parts of Broadwater Island. He will probably spend a week on the island.
