HE AND MR. JEFFERSON GETTING FINE BAGS OF GAME ON HOG ISLAND.

Keller, Va., Nov. 25. -- Ex-President Cleveland went shooting in the sheltered places on Hog Island yesterday, taking Mr. Jefferson with him. They bagged some small game and snipe. To-day he went in the bay and shot from blinds, killing a good bag of brant and ducks. He is an excellent shot. The Broadwater Club, of course, gave him the best and most experienced guides. He is quartered at Mr. Ferrell's cottage, which has all the modern conveniences as to steam heating, lighting, water, etc. He gives free audience to the natives, but refuses to see any one from a distance. The probabilities are that he will spend a week or ten days on the island. Several newspaper correspondents have got badly mixed in the geography of this part of the country, exaggerating distances, etc., also in the statement that the clubs own all the island and can prevent any boat from landing.
