Onancock, Va., January 20. -- It is reported that Captain Cason, of the tug Norfolk, New York, Philadelphia and Norfolk railroad line, will resign and be succeeded by Captain Hudgins, of the tug Philadelphia.
The adverse report of Major Smith, the engineer in charge of the Tangier harbor improvements, is severely criticised throughout the county.
Hon. John. W. G. Blackstone, of the Accomac bar, has gone to Columbus, Ohio, in the interest of a number of farmers of Accomac, who consigned their produce to a commission merchant in that city and received no returns.
