At the January term of the County Court the new trial granted the convicted murderer Lewis, will be proceeded with.
Engineer Thompson, with engine No. 5, made the fastest time several days ago, ever made on the New York, Philadelphia and Norfolk road.
The run from Delmar to Cape Charles [City], a distance of ninety-six miles, was made in one hour and thirty-seven minutes, with four stops, equalling ninety-five miles in ninety-seven minutes.
The road bed and track is thus shown to be in an excellent condition.
