ONANCOCK, Va., March 23. -- The information received here today from Messongo Neck is to the effect that Mrs. Mary McCready, who was assaulted by the negro Magruder Fletcher some time ago, died yesterday of injuries received in her struggle with the negro.

Dixie, the 13-year-old son of Mr. Alfred Lilliston, a prominent citizen of Accomac Courthouse, while gunning in company with several friends, accidentally shot himself in the arm, almost entirely blowing that member off. The injured member will have to be amputated.
