Fields -- Canneries
An accident happened at the canning factory of Mr. J. Carmine, near Boggsville, one day last week, by which a negro man was badly hurt. As he was lowering the cans of fruit into a tank of boiling water, for the purpose of cooking them, the hoisting apparatus broke, causing the water to fly out, scalding him severely. It is not thought, however, that his injuries will prove serious.
