African-Americans -- Race relations
Eastville, Va., August 20. -- The registration books for Eastville and Franktown districts have been closed for this year, with the following results:

Total of both white and negro voters in above districts, 173.
In Eastville District the registration has not been completed, but have so registered about 75 voters.
These, added to last year's registration, brings the number of white registered voters up to a little over 1500, or about 90 per cent. of the white male population over 21 years of age.
The negro registration is very light, indeed. About 450 registered last year, and the few added changes the status in small degree. Not over one-fourth of the negroes are registered.
