Proceedings, November Term, 1901.

Colmore E. Byrd qualified as administrator of A. Frank Byrd, deceased.

Newell B. Rich qualified as guardian of his infant children, Ralph V., Madeline, Mary and Blanche Rich.

The last will and testament of Raymond R. Lewis, deceased, was proved and ordered to be recorded.

A regular grand jury was empanelled and returned "true bills": "One for feloniously and maliciously causing bodily injury, with intent to maim &c"; fifteen, "for unlawfully keeping and exhibiting a gaming table"; one, "for unlawfully selling land without license"; one, "for unlawfully peddling"; two, "for unlawfully selling spirituous, intoxicating and malt liquors to a minor"; one, "for unlawfully suffering and permitting unlawful gaming at his house"; one, "for unlawfully opening his room where intoxicating liquors are sold on Sunday"; one, "for unlawfully practicing as a physician without a license"; one, "for assault and battery"; two, "for unlawfully neglecting and corruptly acting in the discharge of their official duties at an election"; one, "for unlawfully voting at an election without being registered".

The last will and testament of Wm. Thos. Turlington, deceased, was proved and George W. Turlington qualified as administrator with will annexed.

The following fiduciary accounts were confirmed and ordered to be recorded: Audits of estates of Rachel Parkes and Mary C. Hall, deceased; orphan accounts of George C. Stevens, Joseph Thomas Rayfield, Annie E. and Clarence E. Bailey; trust account of Hester Gibbons and others.

The last will and testament of Rose A. Sherwood was proved and ordered to be recorded.

Upon petition of John W. Bonnewell and others for a public road. Report confirmed and certified to Board of Supervisors for their approval of further expenditure.

Upon petition of Jas. Carroll Evans and others for a public road. Order entered summoning proprietors and tenants to show cause, if any, why road should not be opened as proposed.

Upon petition of L. H. Ames and others for a public road. Report filed and certified to Board of Supervisors for their approval or rejection of further expenditure.

The last will and testament of Charles L. Harmanson, deceased, was proved and John H. Harmanson qualified as his executor.

John H. Harmanson qualified as guardian of Mary B. and Margaret S. Harmanson, orphans of Charles L. Harmanson, deceased.

The estates of Rose A. Sherwood, Sarah C. Kellam and Thomas C. Parramore, deceased, were committed to Lee B. Kellam, sheriff, for administration.

Hugh S. Fosque qualified as notary public for county of Accomac.

Authority was granted to Robert McInturff, of Presbyterian Church, and Geo. C. Bundick and Thomas C. Davis, of Baptist Church, to celebrate rites of matrimony.
