Last will of John R. Duncan proved and ordered recorded.

Last will of Patrick W. Kilmon proved and Leonard C. Mears and Wm. T. Kilmon qualified as administrators with will annexed.

Last will of James L. Savage proved and Joseph H. Savage qualified as executor.

Last will of Thomas Savage Copes proved and James A. Hall qualified as administrator with will annexed.

Everett J. Beloat qualified as administrator of James L. Beloat, deceased; Samuel J. Rayfield as administrator of John M. Rayfield, deceased; and Wm. H. Pruitt Jr. as administrator of James Earle Grinnalds, deceased.

Estate of Frank A. Hinman was committed to John H. Wise, sheriff, for administration.

George W. Kilmon qualified as guardian of Broaddus G., Patrick L., George D., Viola S. and Page W. Kilmon, orphans of Patrick W. Kilmon, deceased.

Authority to celebrate the rites of matrimony was granted to Rev. Daniel P. Sanderlin, of the Baptist Church.

The clerk made report of the fines reported to him in January by Justices of the Peace.

The sheriff made report of the number of prisoners in jail, their offences, &c.

Moses Finney was discharged from jail, having served out his term and being unable to pay fine and costs.

Order entered appointing John S. Parsons trustee in deed from Benj. H. Kelso and wife, in place of Upshur B. Quinby, deceased.

On petition of J. O. Mears and others for public road (from Keller to Pungoteague). Report of commissioner filed showing the opening of the road to be completed, and order confirming report, for payment of costs incurred by petitioners and removing cause from the docket.

On petition of O. H. Taylor and others for public road (near Jenkins Bridge). Report of commissioner, (Wm. R. Covington et als). filed.

Roy D. White, county surveyor, made report of the survey of the land of Wingfield Stevens, purchased by Jas. Henry Wharton, at county treasurer's sale for delinquent taxes for 1893, which was duly recorded.

A special grand jury was empanelled, and presented "true bills" 5 indictments for felony, and 4 indictments for misdemeanor -- and "not a true bill" one indictment for misdemeanor.

Daniel Bagwell, Jr., (colored), was tried for felonious house-breaking with intent to commit larceny, and found not guilty and discharged.

Frank Ewell, (colored), was tried for malicious cutting with intent to maim, &c., was found guilty and sentenced to one year in penitentiary.

The following fiduciary accounts were confirmed and ordered recorded, to wit: Audits of estates of Wm. F. Fleming, John E. Parker, James Mason of M., and Samuel Lankford; orphan accounts of James T., John H., Tankard G. and George C. Stevens, Sadie A. and Mamie S. Parkes, Francis J. and Maggie S. Kellam, Mitchell W., Winnie Lee and Mabel W. West, George T. Finney, Carroll A. Rogers, John S., Pearlie B., Manie D., George A. and Mabel B. McMath.

Accounts against the Commonwealth in criminal and lunacy cases were allowed as follows: To Wm. H. Warren, J.P., $1.00; Frank Parks, special constable, $6.90; George F. Parker, J.P., $4.00; jailer, (board of lunatics), $24.00; and (board of prisoners), $51.25.
