ACCOMAC COUNTY COURT.

Proceedings, February Term, 1890.

Isaac K. Stevenson qualified as administrator of Jno. T. Stevenson, deceased.

Charles P. Finney, inspector of oysters for 8th district, reported for three months ending February 28th, 1890, as follows: Collections, $108.60, due State, $97.74.

Joseph L. Cooper, J.P., paid into court $1 fine and $1 clerk's cost, received of Gary Crockett, convicted before him of disorderly conduct.

Accounts against Commonwealth in criminal charges &c., certified as follows; For M. Oldham, Jr., clerk, $3.85, L. J. Gunter, constable, $16.52, Geo. T. Scarburgh, physician to jail, (2 accounts) $11.75 and $7.50, John H. Wise, sheriff, (2 accounts) $5 and $164, and Jas. H. Fletcher, Jr., attorney for Commonwealth $80.

Barroom and retail liquor license were granted G. G. Fox & Son, at Locustville.

Bids for building bridge over Leatherbury's Branch near Onancock and public bridge near Belle Haven were accepted and commissioners appointed to contract.

Orders on county treasurer in road and bridge matters were entered as follows; For S. F. Rogers $2, James L. Savage (2 accounts) $6 and $8, Augustus W. Johnson $4, W. T. Broughton $13, W. E. Commonwealth vs. Levin Ames -- on a rule. Discharged on defendant's motion.

Samuel J. Stevenson was appointed and qualified as seater of weights and measurers for county of Accomac.

The estate of Wm. T. Young, deceased, was committed to sheriff for administration.

Order entered, directing Samuel J. Davis, inspector of oysters to revoke any assignment for planting oysters within his district, so far as it embraces within its limits any natural oyster beds or rocks and to cause the same to that extent to be immediately vacated.

Orders entered, authorizing county treasurer to check on Marine Bank for taxes in the following cases: Barnes' administrator, c.t.a. vs. Barnes &c., infants; Window's executor vs. Window, (2 cases); Ex Parte: Petition of Wm. H. Harman's administrators.

The following fiduciary accounts were continued: Orphan accounts of Charles C., Minnesota, Demetrius and Florence M. Lewis, Harry A., and Grace E. Hopkins, Maggie K. and Annie W. Turner, Wm. Bagwell, Adelbert Warren, Ella L., Harry Thompson and Mary Ella Mears and Irwin Sturgis; audits of estates of Elias Bell, Thomas Stran and Jno. McClain; trust accounts of Wm. B. Wilkins and Martin R. Ellis and wife.

Louis C. H. Finney was appointed to examine the books of entries and surveys in possession of the principal surveyor of this county.

Dr. John H. Ayres, Samuel T. Ross and Geo. F. Parker were appointed inspectors of the jail and qualified.

Ex Parte. Petition of Florence M. Lewis' guardian. Order directing guardian to pay costs of petition and to make loan of residue of Ward's estate on unencumbered real estate.
