ACCOMAC COUNTY COURT.

Proceedings, October Term, 1901.

The following fiduciary accounts were confirmed and ordered to be recorded: Audits of estate of James C. Weaver, Oswald B. Finney, Elitha Ann Byrd; orphan accounts of Robert J. and Catharine C. Taylor; trust accounts of Thomas H. Savage and Elijah W. Hickman and wife.

The last will and testament of Raymond R. Hutchinson was admitted to probate and Smith K. Martin qualified as his executor.

The last will and testament of Sebastian C. Henderson was proved and ordered to be recorded.

Silverius C. Hall qualified as Notary Public for county of Accomac.

A retail liquor license was granted to Teackle U. Belote at his house at Locustville.

Edgar D. Fletcher qualified as administrator of Thomas Dickerson, deceased.

The sheriff made report to the Court the number of prisoners in jail, their offences, sentences, &c.

John S. Ames qualified as administrator of Nervilla E. Coleburn, deceased.

John S. Waples qualified as administrator of Southey S. Sherwood, deceased.

The last will and testament of Thomas Pettit, deceased, was proved and Solomon T. Johnson qualified as administrator c.t.a.

L. Floyd Nock qualified as administrator of Severn Wm. Gaskins, deceased.

Upon petition of L. H. Ames and others for a public road. Commissioners appointed to assess damages to land owners.

Upon petition of L. O. Watson and others for a public road. Order entered to open road in accordance with report of viewers.

Authority was granted to Thomas H. Winters, of the A. M. E. Church, to celebrate the rites of matrimony.

Upon application, the facts showing Jno. B. Erskine as a suitable person to be placed on the Confederate pension roll, were certified to the Auditor of Public Accounts.

Authority was granted to J. Arthur Winn, of the M. E. Church, South, to celebrate the rites of matrimony.

John Kellam qualified as administrator, c.t.a. of Nicey Kellam, deceased.

Upon petition of George C. Watson and others for a public road. Report of viewers filed.

Ex parte: Petition of L. W. Massey and others for alteration and repairing public road. Order appointing viewers.

Upon petition of J. Carroll Evans and others for a public road. Order entered appointing viewers.

Ex parte: Petition of George W. Gillespie and others for a public road. Report of viewers filed.

Upon petition of Albert F. Mears and others to widen public road. Order entered directing land owners to remove fences so as to widen road and case appealed to circuit court by Alonzo F. Bloxom and others.

Upon petition of William J. Gibb and others for a drain. Report of viewers filed and order entered that drain be opened in accordance with report. Order also entered appointing commissioners to convene land owners to assess damages &c.

Upon application of George R. Coleburn for retail liquor license. The case heard, the court being of the opinion that the applicant was a fit and suitable person and the place suitable and convenient, but application refused on the ground, that the election, held in the District of the Islands on 27th day of July "for" and "against" licensing the sale of intoxicating liquors, was illegally and fraudulently conducted and therefore null and void. By order of court the said applicants and contestants, each pay their respective costs. The case was appealed by applicant to circuit court.
