CHAP. 252.--An ACT to authorize and empower the board of supervisors of Accomac county to levy a tax for the support and maintenance of a public library.

Approved March 14, 1912.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the board of supervisors of Accomac county be, and hereby is, authorized and empowered to levy an annual tax, not to exceed one thousand dollars per annum, for the yearly support, up-keep, and maintenance of a public library, to be located and maintained at some point in said county, for the use and benefit of the people thereof.

2. And an emergency existing in order to meet the conditions prescribed by the Carnegie library fund, this act shall be in force from its passage.
