Eastville, Va., March 4 -- The Board of Supervisors of the county is holding a session here to-day. It is the regular monthly meeting, but the principal business before the board is the matter of building a new jail. Two building contractors, Messrs. Shank and Smith, have been before the board with plans and diagrams. A new jail is such a necessity that the Supervisors will have to get the work done at once.

The patriotic celebration by the children of Eastville Academy last Friday night was a splendid success and was well attended.

Work on the new Baptist church at Exmore is to begin at an early day.
