An Elaborate Program Has Been Arranged.

Oratory, Special Military Features, Concerts and Fireworks are among the events arranged for the day.

Eastern Shore Day, which will be celebrated on August 1st, at the Exposition, will be one of the banner days of the Fair, if the indications count for anything.

The Department of Publicity has received assurances from many of prominent residents of Accomac and Northampton counties that arrangements are being made in that section to bring thousands to Norfolk Thursday.

The Sunday school of this section will be out in full force. They are competing for gold medals to be given by the management of the Ter-Centennial to the school which shows up with the largest number of pupils.

Among the schools in the lead is the old Oak Grove school, located near Keller, in Accomac county, and which is supposed to be the oldest Sunday school in the United States.

Many features are now being prepared by the management of the Exposition for the entertainment and the amusement of the jolly Virginians.

These include special concerts by the Mexican National Band and Phinney's United States Band, athletic games, military dress parades and addresses by prominent orators from the Eastern Shore.

The fireworks at night will be especially elaborate, special pyrotechnic designs having been ordered for the occasion.

The railways and steamer lines are co-operating with the officials of the Exposition with the view of bring to the Exposition all who may desire to cross the Bay.

Thursday is also German day at the Exposition, and with both events scheduled for celebration, this occasion should be a notable one.
