Eastville, Va., August 2. -- The Eastern Shore turned out enmasse yesterday and took in the Jamestown Exposition. About thirty went from this station, while other points were equally well represented. The Eastern Shore people took possession of the Exposition grounds and proceeded to enjoy the sight seeing. They gathered in the Virginia building, where they were graciously received by the hostess, Mrs. McIntosh, and her assistants, Miss Mary Larkin, Misses Hicks, Mrs. Darden and Misses Jordan, Etheridge and Smith. President Tucker gave them a cordial welcome and Colonel W. B. Fitzhugh made response. The large majority of the Eastern Shore delegation returned to the shore by the evening boat.

The State Bar Association which has held its annual meeting at the Inside Inn, was attended by the following attorneys from the Eastern Shore: Messrs. O. F. Mears, F. F. Wilkins and T. B. Robertson, of Northampton and Messrs L. Floyd Nock, S. K. Powell, James H. Fletcher, B. T. Gunter. S. James Turlington and J. S. Par, of Accomack.

The round potato season has now closed in this county. The price this week went to $2.75 the barrel in New York, but only a few got advantage of the rise.
