The annual meeting of the stock holders of the Eastern Shore of Virginia Fire Insurance Company will take place at Keller next Tuesday. The company had been wonderfully successful during the short ten months of its business career.

The new Methodist church at Painter will be dedicated on the fourth Sunday in February. Rev. H. E. Johnson of Suffolk, will officiate.

The Country Club of Cape Charles City gave their annual dinner and reception in their rooms Wednesday evening. Hon. W. Bullitt Fitzhugh presided. It was a most enjoyable event.

The Teachers' Association of this county will meet here on the 9th of February, next.
