Eastville, Va., June 25. -- The truckers of the Shore are head and ears into their round potato crop and carload lots are now going into the large markets daily. Prices rallied some last Friday and since then they have been selling at about $2.59 in New York. The round potato crop of Northampton this year will be about the largest in the history of the trucking business here. In the lower part of the county, the crop is not as good as it was last, but this will be made up for by the extra yields of the Nashville section which promises splendidly. Much concern is therefore had over the prospective prices. At present they are remunerative, but not high. Some of the truckers of this section of Northampton have a splendid promise.

The cabbage season has closed and has been a good one. The quantity planted this year was larger than ever, but is not an extensive one here. In Accomack the round potato prospects are reported not so good and the outlook for sweet potatoes not as good as last year. The cold spring rains injured them very much.
