Eastville, Va., April 15. -- The Eastern Shore Chapter of the Alumni of the University of Virginia held their annual meeting and celebration of Jefferson's birthday at Accomac Courthouse. A banquet at the Doughty Hotel followed the meeting. Professor Ormond Stone, of the University, was present as the guest of the association and delivered an address. Short impromptu speeches were also made by Messrs. S. K. Powell, S. James Turlington and T. B. Robertson. Mr. James H. Fletcher was chosen president and N. B. Wescott, vice-president, and T. B. Robertson, secretary and treasurer, and Mr. Fletcher presided at the meeting.
