Eastville.

The Board of Supervisors of this Northampton county, held the regular monthly meeting here yesterday. A number of routine matters received attention. The settlement was held with the county superintendent of the poor house, showing a very nice profit on running that institution, by Mr. Dunton, the present manager.

Road work in the two upper districts of the county has been going on for the past month under Mr. J. D. Webb, the newly appointed superintendent.

There was a meeting of the County School Board here yesterday. A number of the trustees were present. The Board decided to open the schools of the county September 16th, and fixed the pay of the principals of the high school at $70 a month.
