Eastville, Va., February 9. -- The Northampton County Teachers Association has been held here today, presided over by Professor C. W. Dickinson, the president. A good number of the teachers have been in attendance and some very interesting discussions of subjects relating to the school room were had.

An address was delivered by Miss Charlotte Stoakley and remarks were make by Messrs. Johnson and Petty and others. The principal address of the day was in the afternoon session by Mr. Saunders, of Portsmouth, the newly appointed inspector of the district. The meeting was interesting and the talks were very appropriate. The schools of this county are in a fine condition. There will be arranged a school exhibit at the Jamestown Exposition.

The Board of Supervisors of Accomac county met at the Courthouse of that county, and after discussing the advisability of making an appropriation for an exhibit at the Jamestown Exposition decided to appropriate $1500 to that cause. The vote on the question was unanimous. A committee will at once take charge of the work of getting the exhibit in shape. This, with the $750 already appropriated by Northampton and about $3000 which the Produce Exchange will expend, will give the Eastern Shore of Virginia a splendid showing at the Exposition. The space has already been arranged for.

The work of construction on the new part of the railroad to the Cape will begin at an early day. The New York, Philadelphia and Norfolk Railroad Company contemplated some very much needed changes in the dock facilities at Cape Charles City. There is to be an elevated landing and a new line of track through the yards in front of the town.
