Eastville, Va., April 3. The Northampton County Board of Supervisors held their regular monthly meeting here yesterday. Road Superintendent Scarborough was ordered to begin work on the roads. The Board received the order from Judge Blackstone approving of the issue of $5,000 in county bonds, to be used in building a new county jail. April 16th was fixed on for meeting the contractor for the purpose of agreeing on plans and specifications.

The directors and stockholders of the Northampton Fair Association held a meeting here this afternoon for the purpose of perfecting the organization and other matters looking to the matter of holding a fair in August next.

The cold weather of the past two days is about as remarkable as was the extraordinary hot spell of last week. Last night the thermometer went down to 29 degrees, and good ice formed. It is feared that the fruit is all killed, as it has advanced so rapidly. No trucks have been injured so far as is known. The wind yesterday and today has been exceedingly disagreeable, and the temperature has been low all day.
