Mr. Samuel H. Richey, of Machipongo, has sold his nice sea side farm to Mr. George R. Mapp, Jr., who will take possession April 1st. The price stated is $6,500. Mr. Richey purchased the place last year of Mr. Bloomfield H. Moore. The family will remove to the West. They came here from Indianapolis.
The work of opening the right of way for the new line of railroad from Bayview to Cape Charles, about twelve miles, has begun, and the commissioners appointed to assess the damages on some of the property went over a part of the route Tuesday.
