Eastville

During the month of January there were 106 deeds admitted to record by Clerk R. W. Nottingham, of this county. This was the largest for any single month in the long history of the county.

Last night was about the coldest of the winter. The thermometer registered 19 in front of the Herald office here this morning at 8 o'clock.

Mr. A. F. Dryden, the driver of the Standard Oil wagon of this place, was caught between the wagon and the side of the wagon shed this morning and badly crushed and perhaps internally hurt. He will be taken to the hospital in Norfolk for treatment.
