Eastville.

The Eastville town election took place Tuesday afternoon. The same officers were re-elected as follows: T. B. Robertson, mayor, and A. W. Bradford, J. A. Jarvis, O. F. Mears, Arthur Saunders and J. P. Widgen, Councilmen.

The truckers of this section began in earnest to ship their spring crop of Irish potatoes this week. About 100 barrels left this station yesterday and a number were seen on the wharf at Cape Charles. The cabbage crop is about over. A number of truckers did splendidly Mr. W. H. Wescott, near here, had in about fourteen acres and shipped some 3000 crates.

A party from Lebanon on the seaside, consisting of Mr. S. Thomas and Fulwell Nottingham, Messrs. J. T. Warring, W. B. Trower and Ernest Roberts, have spent the week attending the Exposition, going on the nice launch of the Messrs. Nottingham.

Mr. Luther L. Nottingham and daughter, Miss Edna Nottingham, are visiting Norfolk this week and attending the Exposition.

Colonel and Mrs. W. B. Fitzhugh are in Norfolk today.

Miss Margaret Stoakley of Cheriton, is visiting friends in Norfolk.

Dr. and Mrs. G. P. Moon are visiting Norfolk. Mr. Moon being on the Governor's staff.

About three hundred people of Northampton and Accomack counties attended the Exposition Virginia Day exercises and others spent Georgia Day there, so that the Shore has been well represented.
