Notice in the Peninsula Enterprise, a weekly paper published at Accomac C. H., says that a change in the present mail arrangement on the New York, Philadelphia and Norfolk railroad may be looked for at any time. It is thought that the change will be due to the various newspapers of the Eastern Shore and Norfolk, especially THE NORFOLK VIRGINIAN, whose continued efforts through this correspondent have been much appreciated. By the present arrangement the Northern mail does not reach some points on the shore until late at night.

The Northampton County Court has been in session since last Monday, Judge Hamilton S. Neale, presiding. The crowd in attendance was the smallest known for years. The grand jury being in session an indictment was found against John Edwards, colored, for cutting and bruising William Brown, also colored, at Cape Charles, some time ago.

A branch board of the American Building and Loan Association of Minneapolis, Minn., has been organized at Cape Charles City.
