Fields -- Crops - Sweet potatoes : Diseases and pests

What is known among Eastern Shore farmers as the "black slowth" disease of potatoes, which causes them to rot, has played havoc with sweet potato sprouts over here this Spring. This will necessarily lessen the quality on potatoes to be raised here this season.
