At the recent pony-penning on Parramore's Island, seventy ponies were sold for the net sum of $4,000.
A syndicate composed of Messrs. B. T. Parker, R. P. Curtis and James E. Scott, of Onancock, and John J. Blackstone, of Accomac Court-house, have purchased from G. F. Goodrich, of Norfolk, the sole right for the manufacture of patent carriage-top dressing. Col. B. T. Parker has been elected treasurer of the company and R. P. Curtis, Esq., agent.
