A meeting of members and those interested in the Eastern Shore Historical Society of Virginia will take place at Eastville, Northampton county, May 7th. The Society was incorporated by the last Legislature.

At a meeting of the citizens of Cape Charles City, the following municipal ticket was nominated, regardless of political affiliations: For Mayor, J. N. Sterling, the present officer; Councilmen, W. H. Sterling, J. J. D. Taylor, Andrew Picken, Thomas Nelson, John U. Anderson and Conrad Grimmer. The election takes place at an early date.
