Cape Charles, Va., July 21.

W. B. Fitzhugh, proprietor, of the Cape Charles Pioneer, made an assignment to-day conveying the E. J. Spady, trustee, for the benefit of certain preferred creditors named in the deed of trust, the presses and printing-material of the Pioneer office, and Frank Hollis, proprietor of the Cape Charles Echo, also made an assignment conveying to the same party, as trustee, the presses and printing material of the Echo office for the benefit of certain preferred creditors mentioned in the deed. Both instruments were admitted to record in the county clerk's office.

Rev. W. A. Borum, of Richmond (Va.) College will commence a series of religious meetings to-morrow in Eastville under the auspices of the Young Men's Christian Association.

Mrs. Madison Rush, of Philadelphia, and Misses Ethel Neely and Laura Fitchett, two noted and widely-known singers of Norfolk, assisted by home talent, will give a musical concert in Eastville on Thursday night for the benefit of the Young Men's Christian Association.
