Norfolk Virginian, June 13, 1888
THE ONANCOCK TIMES.
Infrastructure -- Commercial - Newspapers
The initial number of the Onancock Times, the successor of the Eastern Virginian, has been received, and we welcome Mr. Gordon, editor and proprietor, to editorial labors. One sentence in the salutatory shows the composition of the man and the paper -- "We [illegible] urge every Democrat in Virginia to stand to his guns in the coming fight." The whole appearance and tone of The Times leaves a favorable impression, and having no envy or jealousy in our heart, we say that this local enterprise should be handsomely sustained by the gallant Democracy of glorious Accomac.
