The Finding of the Body of an Unknown Man.

[Special Dispatch to The Virginian.]

Mappsville, Va., May 21. -- The body of an unknown man was found adrift in Gargatha Inlet last Friday. On it was a considerable sum of money, which was appropriated by the finders, was well-dressed, but face was destitute of flesh; no hair, no flesh on hands or arms; had a photograph in pocket book taken in Worcester, Mass; was that of a young lady, and name was either Nettie or Etta Paine; was rather obscure. The body was turned adrift by the robbers, and parties are now searching for it. From the dress it was evidently the body of an officer of some merchant ship. Had an I. S. L. knife in a pocket.
