A Negro Dangerously Wounded by Farmer John Core -- Accidentally Shot.

[Special Dispatch to The Virginian.]

ONANCOCK, Va., (via Tasley, Va.,) June 21. -- A negro, whose name cannot be ascertained, whipped the little daughter of Mr. John Core, a respectable white farmer residing near Pastoria, several days ago, quite severely. Core, learning of it, armed himself with a double barrel shotgun and went to the negro's house. Upon arriving there he found the negro also armed with a shotgun. The negro, as soon as he saw Mr. Core, opened his shirt, and laying his hand on his bare breast, said shoot; you have not got grit enough. Core cocked his shotgun, and, taking aim, fired, emptying an entire load of buckshot in the negro's breast. Core then left, and it is not known whether he has been arrested or not. The negro is dangerously wounded.

A young white man named Nottingham was accidentally shot yesterday at Parksley station by his friend, Will Parker, while fooling with a revolver. The ball entered the thigh and passed up into the abdomen. The wound is not considered necessarily fatal.
