Onancock.

Equally untrue is the report telegraphed from Baltimore that the White Caps have made their appearance in Accomack and that several had been whipped on Chincoteague Island. Several mischievous persons have sent notice to some notorious idlers and bar room's loungers warning them against longer persisting in their idle and vicious habits. These notices, have had the effect of frightening several of the recipients into more industrious habits, but no one has been whipped nor is there any White Cap organization anywhere on the peninsula.

A public wharf will soon be built on Syke's Island, where the steamers of the Eastern Shore Steamboat Company will touch on their way to and from Baltimore.
