Eastville.

The farmers in this section are taking advantage of the fine weather and making preparations for their early truck crops. The outlook is for a heavy crop of kale and spinach, and if the prices keep up will bring a large amount of money into the county.

Detective McKown, of Norfolk, who has been here for several days investigating the robbery of Henry Fatherly, which occurred some days ago, secured sufficient evidence against William Phillips and Ellen Sturgis to justify the magistrate in sending them on for trial to the County Court. It appears that Phillips entered the house of Mr. Fatherly while he was up-stairs asleep and secured over $100 in money. The grand jury will investigate the case on Monday next.

The Young Men's Christian Association of this place have just purchased a lot in the central portion of the town on which to erect a large building, one portion of which will be used as a town hall -- something that is badly needed here.
