THE END.

Transportation -- Water - Steamboats

We are now well enough informed to report a finale in the negotiations between the directors of the Eastern Shore and the Accomac Steamboat Companies. The end was reached by the rejection of the propositions offered by the old company to the new, at their meeting last Saturday. These propositions were to the following effect:

First -- To sell the stockholders of the Accomac Steamboat Co., 4-10 of their interest now,and the other 6-10ths in December next, if they desired to purchase -- at the price of $211,750.

Second -- To sell their entire interest at the price named above.

If the latter proposition had been accepted, $25,000 must have been paid at once, and the balance on the fist of August, with interest. During the time of the deferred payments the E.S.S.Co. was to be subject to the control of the officers of the old company, but the net profits during that time were to be paid over to the stockholders of the new company.

The stockholders of the Accomac Steamboat Co. adjourned to meet at some future day, when they will mature their plans for starting a new line of steamers between Accomac and Baltimore sometime next spring.
