Moral -- Other violent crime

A political dispute at Locustmount, a few days ago, between Messrs. Lewis Ward and Smith Mears, terminated in a fight, which was almost a fatal one to the latter gentleman. Ward pounded Mears so heavily that he was carried home in a senseless condition, and for some time his life was despaired of by his physicians. We are glad to be able to state, however, that Mears is considered to be out of danger at present, and we hope that with his recovery the feud existing between them will be forgotten as they are neighbors and were friends.
