Infrastructure -- Public : Schools
A public school was opened in the exhibition hall at the fair grounds on Monday last, with Leonard Mears as principal and Miss Jennie Custis assistant. Miss May Gunter has been engaged by the patrons of said school to give tri-weekly lessons in music, Latin and French.
