George Drier Hanged.

Moral -- Murder

Cape Charles, Va., June 16. George Drier, a Polish Jew who murdered Mr. Fanny M. Fadden, a merchant of this city, October 13th, 1891, was hanged at Eastville, Va., this evening in the jail yard. Drier was tried and sentenced to death in November following the commission of his crime. A fight for a new trial was made and the case was not finally settled until last March, when the date of his execution was fixed. Drier held up firmly until the last and did not evince the slightest excitement. Twelve minutes after he dropped he was pronounced dead by Drs. G. P. Moore and P. A. Fitzhugh. He died from strangulation.
