PRINCESS ANNE, July 2. -- Twelve vessels known as "bugeyes," or "buckeyes," are now in the course of construction in St. Peter's and Dames Quarter districts of this county for the oyster trade this fall. They are said to pay better than the larger vessels engaged in taking oysters. These vessels will average ten tons and when fully equipped will sell from $1,000 to $1,500 apiece. A large number of smaller vessels are being constructed for the tonging season, which opens in September.
