ONANCOCK via TASLEY, VA., April 9. -- The schooner Luce, owned by Powell & Garrison, of Wachapreague, and from that place to Egg Harbor with a cargo of oysters, was driven ashore near Atlantic City on the Jersey coast during the recent storm and is a total loss. All the crew succeeded in getting off and have returned home. A grain-house belonging to the same firm in Wachapreague was washed from its foundation by the high tide and carried several hundred yards. The house contained a great lot of grain and fertilizer, which were badly damaged. All the low lands on the seaside were submerged by the tides during the storm, and some of the islands were badly washed. Much of the ground around the new life-saving station on Metompkin beach was washed away.
