ACCOMAC COUNTY COURT.

Proceedings, July Term, 1889.

The following fiduciary accounts were confirmed and ordered to be recorded, to wit: Audits of estates of Fenwick W. Kelly, Jno. B. Bundick, William H. Parker, Sallie J. Bruff, Thomas L. Trower and John Rew, deceased; Orphan accounts of Fred A. Powell, Henrietta Mason and Stephen U. Hopkins.

The last wills of Esther D. Fox, Spencer Nelson and Nancy C. Mason were proved and ordered to be recorded.

John Neely qualified as admr. of Sarah W. Massey, dec'd.

Lemuel E. Mumford qualified as guardian of Wm. B. Mumford, orphan of Z. B. Mumford, dec'd.

Certificate was granted John A. Bundick, to obtain license to practice law in the courts of the commonwealth.

Spencer R. Nelson, J.P., paid into court $2.50 fine received of Edmond Watson, for unlawfully disturbing public worship, and L. F. J. Wilson, J.P., paid into court $5, fine received of Gordon Pilchard, convicted of assaulting and beating James H. Merrill.

Solomon T., Johnson qualified as notary public for the county of Accomac.

Robert T. Harman was appointed and qualified as justice of peace for the district of Pungoteague to fill vacancy caused by the failure to qualify of John T. F. Hope.

Lewis $2, Jno. W. Bowdoin $58.

Upon petition of Elzey Evans and others for repairs to public roads. Report of viewers filed and order approving expenditure recommended therein certified to Board of Supervisors for its approval or rejection.

Bar room liquor license was granted to Edward C. Phillips at his house at Onancock.

Accounts against Commonwealth in criminal and lunacy matters were entered as follows -- For Dr. Frank Fletcher for examining lunatic, $2.50; Dr. Wm. H. Taylor for chemical analysis of Wm. J. Taylor's body, $25; Dr. Geo. T. Scarburgh, physician to jail, medical attention to prisoners, (2 accts.) $9 and $8.50.

J. T. Kenney, trustee named in deeds from James H. Lynch and wife and J. H. Thornton and wife for the benefit of R. E. Swift, tendered his resignations which were accepted by the court.

Edward H. Conquest, Sr.'s., admr. vs. Mary Edna Taylor and others (on petition). Order for payment of costs by plaintiff and deposit in Marine bank.

Eveline W. Nock vs. Wm. Summers (on appeal.) Continued on motion of appellant until 3rd day of next term.

Petition of Jno. T. Powell and others for a public road. Order directing Upshur T. Bradford, surveyor, to complete the building of the road.

Petition of D. J. Whealton and others for repairs to public road. Report of viewers confirmed, expenditure recommended, approved and certified to Board of Supervisors for its approval or rejection.

Petition of Jno. S. Davis, surveyor and others for repairs to public road. Order to summon proprietors to show cause why the road should not be repaired by ditching through their lands as recommended by the viewers.

Petition of S. W. Parks and others for a public road. Report of Stanley J. Lewis, commissioner, filed and cause continued.

Petition of Geo. M. Parks and others for a public road. Order approving the opening of the road applied for, and certified expenditure to be incurred to Board of Supervisors for its approval or rejection.

Ex Parte: Petition of John Rew's executor. Petition filed, order for payment of costs and deposit in Marine Bank.

County treasurer made report of delinquent lands for the year 1887, sold and purchased in the name of the Auditor of Public Accounts for benefit of the State and county, which report was examined, confirmed and ordered to be certified to said Auditor of Public Accounts.

John T. Powell, survivor, vs. George E. Bull, late constable, (on motion) -- two judgments for plaintiff.
