ACCOMAC COUNTY COURT.

Proceedings, August Term, 1887.

Last will of Margaret E. Colonna proved and ordered to be recorded.

George W. LeCato qualified as administrator of Sylvia Beach, colored, deceased.

Fiduciary accounts were confirmed as follows; Audits of the respective estates of James White and Isaac Satchell; orphan accounts of John W., Paul and Wm. Pitts, and Tully M. Lewis.

Orders on county treasurer in road and bridge matters were entered as follows: For Ezekiel Baker, $5; Daniel B. Marshall, $17; Wm. J. Duncan, $6; Wm. T. Milliner, $4; John W. Turlington, $6; John W. Belote, $7.25; and John O. and John Somers, $8.96.

Bar room license granted Douglas A. Martin at head of Bradford's Neck, in Pungoteague district.

Last will of William Mears (of A.) proved and ordered to be recorded and Arthur T. Mears qualified as executor.

H. B. Ewell, J.P. paid into court $2.50 fine received of Richard Ball for assaulting Wm. E. Thornton.

Account against Commonwealth in favor of Dr. Geo. T. Scarburgh, physician to jail, amounting to $24, was examined, allowed and certified

Albert Wessells was appointed surveyor of road precinct No. 28 of Atlantic district, in place of Daniel B. Marshall, resigned.

Orders entered authorizing James T. Justice, Wm. H. Rew and Emory D. Hinman, surveyor of roads, to repair public bridges and footway.

Reports of sales, &c., of delinquent lands by county treasurer form 1876 to 1884, examined and certified to auditor.

Albert F. Mears vs. John E. Poulson and wife, (in debt). Dismisses on plaintiff's motion with leave to withdraw bond.

The Commonwealth vs. James S. Nock, (indictment for selling intoxicating liquor in Atlantic district). Verdict of guilty, and motion entered to set aside verdict which was continued till next term because of sickness of the Judge of the court.

Same vs. Isaiah T. Johnson (on same in Metompkin district). Jury empannelled, evidence and argument of counsel heard and jury discharged (not having agreed) because of sickness of the judge.
