ACCOMAC COUNTY COURT.

Proceedings of September Term.

Perry A. Leatherbury qualified as Notary public.

Letters of administration granted to John D. Wimbrough on estate of Betsy Northam, deceased.

The estate of Thomas F. Coleburn deceased, was committed to hands of sheriff for administration.

The last will and testament of Thomas C. Harrison proved and ordered to be recorded.

Dr. O. B. Finney qualified as one of the board of medical examiners in the State.

Samuel T. Ross, Commissioner of Accounts, made report as required by law of the sufficiency of the official bond of John J. Blackstone treasurer.

Order that the treasurer pay following accounts of surveyors of roads: W. E. Mapp, $4; Wm. T. Miller, $3; Wesley T. Melson, $4; Joseph T. Chance $6.

>Richard W. Ames was appointed surveyor of road precinct No. 13 in place of Joseph T. Chance resigned.

William T. Lewis appointed surveyor of road precinct No. 27 in place of Wesley T. Melson, resigned.

The following fiduciary accounts were confirmed by court and ordered to be recorded: Beverly T. Mears, admr. d. b. n. of John McLean, Fletcher Drummond executor of John R. Drummond, Edward H. Conquest executor of Wm. Pettit, Frank Fletcher guardian of Mollie E. Marshall nee Wessells, Andrew J. McCready guardian of Major, Douglas and Floyd Topping, Thomas C. Pitts guardian of Wm. C., Paul and Jno. W. Pitts, Hetty Fisher guardian of Martha and Albert Fisher, Edward H. Conquest guardian of John W., Manly W., Clara F., Thomas H. and George A. L. Window, John E. T. Window trustee of Ella B. Hatton nee Window.

Upon petition of Mary Pulman's administrator, report of commissioner confirmed.

Accounts of Henry Saulsbury for money expended for burial expenses of Ann or Nancy Savage certified as just and true, and that the sum of $21.50 was justly due said Saulsbury.

L. Floyd Nock substituted as trustee in place of Wm. H. A. Hopkins in a deed from John W. Smith and wife to John W. H. Parker.

Ordered that the order which required "so much of the public road leading from Conquest chapel to the Bayside road at or near Messongo bridge as is not included in road precinct No. 4 of Atlantic and of which Thorogood Rew is now surveyor, be included in said road" be rescinded and annulled.

Ordered that William H. Lewis, surveyor of road precinct No. 12 of Metompkin, repair several bridges and that he purchased 250 feet of white oak lumber at $2 per hundred and 15 pound of nails and repair bridge near Dr. Bowdoin's in Metompkin district.

Ordered that bar room license of Wm. S. Waterman be transferred from Guilford to Bloxom's station.

Bar room license were granted as follow; Isaiah T. Johnson, Parksley station; John F. Powell, Greenbackville; Edward F. Burton and F. D. Trower at Point Lookout.

License was granted to John F. Powell to sell liquors by retail at Greenbackville.

Albert G. Ashby, inspector of oysters for 4th district reported due by him for fines, &c., for quarter ending August 31st, 1885, to be ninety cents and same ordered to be certified to auditor of public accounts, and same entry was made as to James T. Weaver inspector of 6th district, except that amount found due by him was $1.35.

The additional insolvent list of John E. Wise, deputy treasurer of Accomac was examined by court and order entered to be certified to Auditor of Public Accounts.

Benjamin F. Lingo qualified as administrator of John W. Lingo.

Joseph W. Mears paid to clerk of the court $2.50, fines collected.

Harry W. Wessels appointed surveyor of road precinct No. 22 of Metompkin, in place of Calvin R. Gladding, resigned.

Bar room license granted to T. W. Parker at Onancock.

Petition of Nathaniel Belote, guardian of Ella Mears filed.

The clerk of county court ordered to pay to Rachel J. Bradford and others each the sum of $2 less 5 per cent, damages paid to him by the Peninsula Railroad Company.

Order amended, in petition of James W. Broughton and others for a public road, "so as to appoint Thomas S. Joynes and John A. White as reviewers in place of Elias Joynes and John Snead."

Ordered that county treasure pay T. H. Bayly Browne $6.93 for services as surveyor of road.

S. B. Slocomb, surveyor of road precinct No. 10 ordered to make repair of a bridge in his district at an outlay of $17.55, and make return of his action.

Ordered that county treasurer pay Margaret S. Melson $1.50 for 50 loads of dirt furnished Wm. J. Coxton, surveyor of road.

Report of James H. Fletcher, commissioner appointed to view Jenkins' Bridge ordered to be certified to Board of Supervisors.

Upon representations made by Wm. S. Tunnell, surveyor in Atlantic District that Henderson's bridge needed repairs, and at a cost of about $100, it was ordered that same be certified to Board of Supervisors.

Rule ordered against Charles Turlington for failure to appear as witness at this term of court.

An account of Duffield Savage to the amount of $48 for board of jury allowed and ordered to be certified to Auditor of Public Accounts.

An account of Duffield Savage and J. L. Fitchett of the amount of $24, for board of jury allowed and ordered to be certified to Auditor of Public Accounts.
