Henry Mears' will was probated, and Thomas H. Mears qualified as adm'r cum testament annexo.

Peter Kelly was appointed and qualified as guardian of Sallie Watson, orphan of Clarissa Watson, dec'd. Abel J. Satchel was appointed and qualified as guardian of Martha Downing, orphan of Sally Downing, deceased.

Order entered authorizing Wm. T. Bloxom, surveyor of the road, to purchase material to build bridges. Order entered authorizing Noah E. Miles, surveyor of the road, to purchase material to build bridge.

Major R. Doughty qualified as adm'r of Betty V. Doughty, dec'd. John D. Grant qualified as adm'r of Edward Melson, dec'd. Charlotte White's will probated, and George W. White qualified as ex'or.

Order entered substituting Wm. J. Gibb, trustee, in deed from Isaac W. Young and wife to John McCready, trustee for Gilbert C. Marshall.

James S. Bell vs. Anne Phillips, guardian of Ella Walter Mears; petition filed by plaintiff for relief as surety, and order entered for defendant to appear on the first day of next term and give a new bond, or be removed from office.

Isaac S. Martin, surveyor of road, precinct No. 26, of Pungoteague District, resigned, and Berry Sturgis was appointed to fill the vacancy. John L. Ward was appointed surveyor of the road, precinct No. 16 of Lee District, in place of John W. White, who was removed from the district.

Bar-room license was granted to John E. Bradford at Middleton's Marshes; Geo. R. Justice & Bros., at Justiceville; Richard W. & George T. Summers, at Muddy Creek; Harwood R. Smith, at Belle Haven, and John D. Hall, at Leemont.

Retail liquor license was granted to R. W. & G. T. Summers at Muddy Creek.

The Commonwealth vs. Louis Douglas, et als., indictment for pulling up stakes stuck to mark off oyster planting ground. Nolle prosequi entered.

Joseph H. Mears vs. John S. Bell, upon a warrant for money. Verdict and judgment for plaintiff.

Oswald J. Adams was appointed and qualified as guardian of Thomas J. and Alice A. Adams, orphan of James C. Adams, deceased.

Accounts of Geo. T. Scarburgh, J. P., John H. Wise, sheriff and jailer, and Wm. F. R. Cropper, late constable, against the Commonwealth of Virginia were allowed and ordered to be certified to the auditor of public accounts for payment.

Robt. S. Henderson, appellant, vs. Douglas A. Martin, appellee. Judgment below affirmed, and judgment for appellee's costs in defence of appeal.

Order entered certifying that John Ashby, a reputed soldier of the revolutionary war, died intestate in Accomac county, and that John B. Floyd, Rachel A. Phillips, Margaret S. Savage, Sallie A. Bloxom, Bettie E. Floyd and Sallie M. Burton, are the only legal heirs of the said Ashby, dec'd. and are all of lawful age.

John Hurst, Sr. , appellant, vs. Wm. M. Willett, appellee. Judgment below reversed. Judgment entered for appellant for costs in defence of warrant before J. P., and for his cost on appeal; and judgment entered for appellee for specific sum of $25 without interest.

Upon petition of John T. Hill and others for public road on Chincoteague Island. Order to summon proprietors and tenants.
